Gay Marriage Endorsement of the Day: Same-sex weddings have no legal status in Japan, but that hasn’t stopped Tokyo Disneyland from giving them the OK.
“I wrote 10 years ago that I looked forward to the day when gay and lesbian couples could hold hands and go to Tokyo Disneyland,” said Taiga Ishikawa, Japan’s first openly gay politician. “I’m very happy.”
A full wedding ceremony in Cinderella’s castle, with Mickey and Minnie included on the guest list, costs about $95,000. The park is now accepting applications.

DISNEY THEME PARK ATTRACTION: The Haunted Mansion (Disneyland, CA/Disney World, FL)
The Haunted Mansion, whether in Disneyland, California or Walt Disney World, Florida, is one of my favorite rides of all time! Not only is it a perfect attraction to ride during a really hot day (and a great gentle ride to ride after you eat) but you can also take note on the detail Imagineers have done for this attraction. One of my favorite sections throughout the entire ride is seeing the roaming bride (specifically the story used in the Walt Disney World, Olando, FL attraction) that literally gives me chills as to how creepy she seems. Other great moments you get to experience are going through the graveyard and the interaction between you and the hitchhiking ghosts towards the end of the ride.
Besides the fact that I absolutely LOVE this ride, I find the entire concept of this attraction to be incredibly interesting. It isn’t just a matter of a bunch of ghosts deciding to live in this mansion for the rest of their lives. The story lines for each Haunted Mansion attraction I’ve read about are all VERY interesting. Take for example Tokyo Disney’s Haunted Mansion attraction:
“On Melanie’s wedding day, a mysterious Phantom unknown to anyone appeared at the manor. While Melanie was preparing in her room, the Phantom lured her suitor up to the attic where he hanged him by the neck from the rafters.
In the ballroom, the bride sat alone. Hours went by with no sign of the groom. Guests slowly filed away, leaving Melanie alone in the house with the staff of maids and butlers. “Some day”, she told herself, “he will come”. And so, having never taken off her wedding dress or dropped her bouquet, in preparation for her loved one’s return, she wandered the house aimlessly, singing melancholy songs of lost love.”

You can definitely expect me to always ride this attraction more than once because I just love the entire concept of this attraction. If you ever see a guy really smiley while riding the Haunted Mansion and you notice him running out of the exit to go to the entrance, it’s probably me!Walter D. Wish °o°
Please?
I want to follow each and every one of you.
Just checked in today!
My tattoo cover up - first try.
(Ignore the maroon wash cloth, that’s just covering my hand and some blending issues I need to work out.) So yes, I have a tattoo that goes around my left wrist, and we all know that that doesn’t fit the Disney Look. I’ve already bought a watch that fully covers it, and would be my first choice for coverage as it’s cheaper and easier. But just in case, I did invest in some make up.
I’m pleased with the result on this first solo try. My only problem is that I’m so pale that even the lightest airbrush cover is still too dark for my skin, but I’ll work that out, maybe try something else to blend.
For anyone interested, the products I used:
- Stilla Prime Pot - taffy (put on the black lines with a foundation brush).
- Make Up For Ever Full Cover Extreme Camouflage Cream - 1 ( put on with a make up sponge).
- Sephora Instant Airbrush Foundation - light (sprayed on).
- Urban Decay All-Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray (sprayed on to hold it on and keep it from brushing off.
……no? I actually really don’t like the Beatles. Not that I hate them, I just never really found their music to be enticing.
